    Reading all the comments listed below, you'd scarcely know that inflation in the US is down to 2.9% and the US is doing better than every other first-world economy. It's as if the only people leaving comments are people who don't actually look at statistics.

    Very insightful comments! Totally agree that we need better policy to push forward the agenda to combat with climate change. The hidden cost of climate change is also huge, a dramatic toll on human resources, and devastating effect on certain areas due to extreme weather. This thing is really becoming urgent!

    I don't agree with Finland because in Poland we may have more stable weather than ever before .It used to be snow all winter ,after occasionally -30C but recently winters are milder and milder .We don't use to marine climate with rain in winter and cold snap up to -18C .The extreme weather has a different face in every region and it must be studied carefully.I live in perfect time a little bit warmer to go and grow wine ,maybe citrus soon. I guess in winter the Atlantic ocean is trying to get rid of excess warmth deeper in the continent sending constantly low pressure air.We are at climate crisis because we all pay 100£ more per month for electricity than 10yrs ago .

    wtf shaping a narrative for growth? Further growth is not possible with removal of fossil fuels. Therefore a lecture about the climate catastrophy on this kind of forum is a very bad joke. Sir David King suggests to refreeze the arctic to save our civilisation, does anyone really believe this will be possible? He, the expert is holding on to increasingly desperate "solutions" while others on this forum still shape a narrative of future prosperity and growth. Where will the properity be, when food is running out? When 7 billion die due to climate change induced problems like wars and breakdown of civil society?

    Kasselakis made his money in capitalism then acts it was because of Syriza's nutty communist economic ideals Syrizamand the Greeks that vote for this nutty party would turn Greece inch-by-inch into the North Korea. Our only hope at improvement is continued reforms of Mitsotakis to free our economy from the hands of far leftists fanatics who always want "share" other people's money. Most of them are even tax cheats. They usually have no skills of value since they are too busy in the cafeneo with their friends complaining about the man., They resort to theft from the producers in our society vis-a-vis the state. Greece needs more STEM and entrepreneurs. We don't need any more far leftist parasites driving our government fiances into the ground with their endless shameless demands for handouts.

  • @mydogsbutler
    @mydogsbutler Місяць тому

    Democracy does not take sides in policy. It is not a synonym for leftist ideology.. an implicitly anti-democratic definition. Democracy is the right for individuals to express and vote their conscious. Kasselakis couldn't care less about Hellenism or democracy. His real identity is his leftist cult.

  • @mydogsbutler
    @mydogsbutler Місяць тому

    Syriza took a beating because it committed treason in the name dispute with Skopje, support for mass illegal migration, defaming of their own country for cheap leftist populism, and made economic promises they didn't keep. Then throw in its infested with self-proclaim Marxists, Leninist, Trotskites and other communists while smearing anyone not left as "far right" and "authoritarian". Their attempt to rebrand themselves as more moderate left by selecting Kasselakis has only divided their own party of mostly communist nitwits.

    He was much more critical of Netanyahu the last time I heard him. Israel at the moment seems to be murdering people at an alarming rate. If Hamas are using people as human shields, does that give Israel the right to kill maybe 20 people for one terrorist? That sounds very much like what the Nazis did. I am sorry but it is the comparison that just jumps up out of the history books.

    Americans are hit with 20% increase in cost of living and Mr Krugman doesn’t even realize the implications for people living paycheck to paycheck. The upper, or even middle class offset the 20% increase with the stock market skyrocketing in 2024 election year, so overall they see increase in their net worth. The poor have become poorer. Good luck buying a house too for the lower middle class

    The Turk can be your friend until he gets what he wants. He cannot have brought in his textbooks the "blue homeland" (meaning the Aegean) to create citizens with terrible nationalism, instead of looking for his eastern real homeland, he is looking for homelands that he came as a conqueror. He has prepared two amphibious divisions and is constantly conducting island-occupation exercises. Which islands do you think he wants to conquer? Malta? Corsica? Sicily? or maybe the islands of the Aegean and the whole of Cyprus? Our country is making terrible mistakes trusting the Turks, instead of becoming an Israel and being respected, our government wants to play the role of the civilized European, while we live next to the gray wolves.

    Debt is never irrelevant, since it's one of the main tools/excuses for implementing austerity. Since there is no accountability on who and under which conditions created a national debt, lower classes can be blamed and punished while oligarchs get richer.

    Θυμάμαι τον συγκεκριμένο κύριο, δίπλα στο Γιάν(ν)η Μπαρουφάκη, να τρελαίνει τα μυαλά του κόσμου με τις θεωρίες περί "αποικιών χρέους" για την Ελλάδα και άλλες χώρες. Όσοι λέγαμε τότε ότι το χρέος δεν είναι το βασικό πρόβλημα της χώρας, μας αντιμετώπιζαν ως "προσκυνημένους". Σήμερα έρχεται ο συγκεκριμένος κύριος και μας λέει ότι τελικά το πρόβλημα του χρέους για τις χώρες είναι 5ο σε προτεραιότητα και δεν αποτελεί βασικό πρόβλημα μακροοικονομικά. Αξιοπρεπής & σεβάσμιος ο κύριος. Δεν διαφωνώ. Ας βγάλουμε όμως κάποια συμπεράσματα.
